A foam dressing soaked in Burnshield sterile trauma hydrogel used specifically to individually wrap fingers and toes to prevent them from binding when burnt. This foam dressing is supplied in a foil pouch. Burnshield is a sterile trauma hydrogel which can be used for minor burns and scalds. With its high water content, Burnshield Hydrogel cools and soothes by absorbing and dissipating heat which minimises skin damage. Burnshield Gel is a white to off-white gel which turns clear once applied. This allows for monitoring of wound progression. It is non-stick and will not adhere to the wound. It is non toxic and non irritant. Safe to use on Children.

Application: Wrap foam dressing around each individual appendage e.g. fingers or toes to avoid them from binding.

How To Apply

  • Open the sterile package.
  • Remove Foam Dressing from package.
  • Wrap the Foam Dressing around each individual finger or toe to prevent appendages from binding together.
  • Secure the Foam dressing with a non-adherent bandage.
  • Re-apply Burnshield Hydrogel to the dressing to prevent the wound from dehydrating.
  • Seek medical attention if needed.
